^Lot 57 Winchester 1892 .38-40 #172493

Vintage lever action rifle chambered for .38 Winchester Center Fire ammunition circa 1901. Features a 24" octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, blade front sight, adjustable rear sporting sight, smooth trigger and knurled hammer spur. Two piece smooth wood stocks have a metal forend cap and a crescent metal butt plate. Blue is about 20% with the rest a molted gray/brown patina, some light scattered pin prick pitting, wood is overall very good with minor scratches, there is a 3/4" dent on the underside of the buttstock along with 3 cut notches, action is crisp/tight, bore is good with some very light areas of pitting. Winchester markings & serial number are clear/readable.
